Our Partner Project ‘Champions of Carbon Neutrality’

‘Champions of Carbon Neutrality’ project was successfully held in Turkey between 23-29 September 2024 hosted by Aksaray University. A total of 42 participants from 7 countries (Turkey, Spain, Italy, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Slovenia, France, and Latvia) participated in the project.

As Klub zdravega Življenja in Športa Vida, we believe that our participants will continue to work to increase environmental awareness with the knowledge and skills they have acquired in the project.

During this project, young people gained important knowledge on how to reduce their carbon footprint and raised awareness of the global warming problem through interactive activities. For example, activities such as the Carbon Market Simulation and Creative Waste Recycling Competition gave young people an inspiring perspective on sustainable lifestyles. By the end of the project, participants were ready to apply what they had learnt in their communities.

For us, this project was just the beginning. The participants will continue to pioneer local environmental initiatives with the knowledge they have gained and create new projects on topics such as recycling, green energy and sustainable urban design. In addition, the international co-operations and friendships established in the project laid the foundation for future collaborations. In line with the objectives of the European Green Deal, young people will continue to contribute to environmentally friendly policies and raising social awareness.

As Klub zdravega Življenja in Športa Vida, we will continue to develop local workshops, campaigns and new partnerships to spread the results of this project to a wider audience. With this awareness strengthened by the project, we will continue to support future environmental leaders.

We have taken an important step with the ‘Champions of Carbon Neutrality’ project, but our journey does not end here. We will continue to progress together on the road to carbon neutrality!
